We went to Sushi Hachi in Richmond earlier this month. It is one of the better sushi restaurants in Richmond.
We really like their unagi battera sushi. Battera Sushi is a form of oshi (pressed) sushi originated from Osaka.
Toro sashimi was a refreshing appetizer.
The grilled black cod was good, but I was hoping to get the fillet. Next time I had to ask for the fillet part specifically.
And finally the unagi don, it reminded me a little of the unagi don our Japanese friend treated us to while we visited Tokyo a few years ago. Of course this does not match those in Tokyo but it does make us feel that we need to pay Tokyo another visit.
