One of the best meals we had while in Tokyo is Korean BBQ. We were invited to a friend’s family restaurant to enjoy authentic Korean BBQ and Korean food. The beef they served was fresh and juicy, and the Korean BBQ makes them extra tasty.

After spending some time at local supermarkets like LIFE, I realized that the groceries expenses in Tokyo and Osaka is pretty similar to those in Vancouver.  For example, imported alcohol like Yellow Tail from Australia costs ¥858 (roughly about C$11). The same bottle of Yellow Tail retails here at C$13.  Let’s take a look at other items….

Revolver Coffee is another local coffee bar that aim to stand out from the big chain coffee shops. What they offer is quite unique: their principal brew method is the 1940s industrial design icon Chemex coffee brewer.
