Rome, Italy – Day 2 at the St Peter’s Basilica

The second day in Rome started with some pretty awesome rooftop breakfast. The hotel we stayed in has excellent service and coffee. Isn’t that all that is required to get started in the morning?

We got our own pot of coffee and if that is not enough, we can also get espressos.

We took the metro around on the second day. It saved us some time and it was quite easy to get around using it.

After getting off the metro, we did have to walk a little before arriving at our destination.

It was another gorgeous day.

And finally, we arrived at our destination – the St Peter’s Basilica.

What awesome creation are these pillars and statues.

By the time we got there, there were tonnes of people lining up to get in already.

I felt so insignificant walking pass these huge entrances that were created 2,000 years ago.

There was so much to see in just so little time. Wish we had time to stay for a little longer. But we had to move on to our next destination.
