High Grade Kshatriya and High Grade Seravee Gundam GNHW/B

Suddenly, the Winter weather returned today. It was rainy and windy just like the usual Vancouver Winter weather would be. What is better for fighting off winter blue than to get myself some new Gunplas? Went to a local store in Richmond and got these two Gunplas and feeling pretty good after :) Retail therapy works I am telling you.

Even the Kstatriya is a High Grade model kit, the size of the box and price are that of a Master Grade. Too bad amiami is out of stock on this one or else I would have gotten it from them instead. I had a brief look at the instruction manual and it looks pretty sweet. There shouldn’t be a lot of seam lines to fix.  This will be another one of those HG models that should be easy to make. Looks like the HG series of Gundam Unicorn will slowly accumulate in my collection.

The second one I got is a HG Seravee Gundam GNHW/B. Since the Kshatriya costs like a MG, I can’t afford to get another MG with it. Plus, I have always been curious about the Seravee Gundam.  Been looking at some pretty sweet models by other modelers and it looks like a good kit to have. And I am glad I can pick up the GNHW/B version instead of the regular version. The difference is additional weaponry on its shoulders and legs, as well as 2 additional GN Canons on its waist.

The only task I have is to figure out a time to make them! I think I will try to start with the high grade kits first since I haven’t made any Gunplas for years now. Starting with a smaller kit will help me get back into it.

For how, I thought I would display the boxes of gunplas on my IKEA Billy bookshelves like many other gunpla collectors do! The master grade kits fit nicely on top of the bookshelves. What do you do with the gunplas that are waiting to be built?

No kidding, since I don’t have any model on display and it is not a big pain to clean up once in a while. I usually use the compressed air can to help removing the dust, then do the vacuuming of the room after. What do you do to clean up dust on your display?

Hahah good question. I don’t clean my shelves that much cuz it’s a pretty big pain in the left butt cheek. It’s collecting pretty much dust now. Not really visible but it’s pretty dusty.

I used to do that too, then I realize I love the box art so much that I might as well display the boxes even I haven’t built the gunpla yet….

It is only nice to a certain point and then you start to think you might never ever finish building the collection…
