Finally, after months, if not years of not making any Gundams, today I decided to spend some time getting reacquainted with my hobby. I decided to start with a High Grade kit as there are fewer pieces to work with and hopefully it will take less time. So here is my progress.

Suddenly, the Winter weather returned today. It was rainy and windy just like the usual Vancouver Winter weather would be. What is better for fighting off winter blue than to get myself some new Gunplas? Went to a local store in Richmond and got these two Gunplas and feeling pretty good after :) Retail therapy works I am telling you.

Just as I was amazed with the speed of how quickly the first shipment from amiami.com arrived last week, I am even more impressed this week with their 4 day inclusive turn around time to have my next shipment delivered.

My small shipment of two gunplas just arrived before the weekend. This is actually my first time ordering gundam model kits from Japan. I have always been a bit skeptical about how much I could save when they add shipping and handling but this time is different.

Got myself another Gundam book today. It is published by Dengeki Hobby and has pretty nice Gunpla photos. A lot of those have already been published in the Dengeki Hobby magazines before but there are some new photos as well.

I love gundam models. I am especially a little bit obsessed about Master Grade models. I don’t have all of them, but I have a lot of them.

To me they are the right size to model and have relatively good amount of detail and articulation. I started watching Gundam when I was growing up. Back in the early 80’s, when the original Mobile Suit Gundam was aired, I watched every single episode. I used to get Gundam magazines, books, models and toys whenever I can save the money. It was an addiction, and till today, it has a lot of influence on me.
