The daylight is getting shorter and shorter. Which means by the time I get off work, the sun would have already set. So naturally I am taking more sunset and evening photos before the rainy season arrives. The Sony Alpha NEX-5N is pretty handy. I am having it with me regularly and it handles low light condition very well. All the photos in this post is taken without a tripod. When you scroll to the bottom of the post, you will see some night shots taken by this camera, too. I like this little camera!
With the recent purchase of the Lumix GF2, I now have 3 types of cameras I can use. DSLR for quality and abundance of accessories, Micro 4/3 for light weight and fully manual photography, and the iPhone 4 for the casual and leisure type photography. And with the iPhone, Camera+ is definitely a must have for better control of exposure, as well as adding effects like these to the otherwise plain-old-camera-phone photos. All these photos are taken using an iPhone 4 and uploaded directly from Camera+ after some effects and borders are added in the app.
In the past week or so, I have taken some test shots to try out the camera in different settings. The Lumix GF2 has a lot to offer in terms of it’s capabilities. It can be used as a simple point-and-shoot style camera, or you can flip it to the different modes and control different aspects of the camera. Here are some of the sample photos I like to share with you.
Time passed by again. Now we are on the second last week of the year and Christmas is just another day away, I am finally able to look at some photos I took during Autumn and thought I would still share them with you.
With the weather getting chillier, fog is a common scene here in Vancouver. Sometimes the fog gets so thick that even the sunlight cannot pass through.
Just thought I would post some of these random photos this time. I am really enjoying taking photos during this time of the year :)
It is difficult to believe we have maybe less than half of our summer left. It started sort of early, then cooled down for a couple of weeks. And then the heat came back for real.
Sharing some of the photos I took in the past month or so here. Hope you like them.
We had another super nice day in Vancouver. This time I was at Queen Elizabeth Park. Lucky I got there before they increase the special parking fee to $20 a day for Olympic events during Feb 16 to Feb 27.
