We caught the last day of Tori no Ichi at Juzaisan Chokoku-ji (Temple of Tori) in Asakusa. Many people came here to pray for good health, good fortune and good business.  Tori no Ichi is an annual event held in November.

After walking through Nakamise, we arrived at Sensouji (浅草寺). It is light up at night and is better suited for photo taking at this time of the day.  Compared to the last time I was here, I think the photos this time turn out a lot more interesting.

Asakusa is one of those places that I love to visit every time I come to Tokyo. Not a whole lot has changed since the first time I visited in 2003. And compared to the time we visited there in 2009, this time the weather cooperated a lot nicer. Apart from Sensouji, Nakamise (仲見世) is a great stroll for getting おみやげ for friends and family!

These are some older photos I took during my first trip to Tokyo in 2003 October. It was a lot of fun. I met with friends of friends whom I have never met before and thanks to them, my first experience in Tokyo could not have been better.
