Been extremely busy lately and have not been updating my blog as frequently as I like to. Need to get back to the routine….
In Vancouver, the weather is rather unpredictable. I don’t blame the meteorologist for not being able to give us somewhat accurate forecast for tomorrow. As a matter of fact, it is probably not very important for most part of what I do because there is no point to wait until I have a sunny day to do what I need to do, right? :)

Been trying to take as many cherry blossom photos as we can this year. The only limitation is time and weather ^^. This time we went to Marpole to take these photos. Marpole has a lot of cherry blossom trees and we didn’t have to walk very far to have taken tones of photos.

Been a while since I have seen a full rainbow with both ends touching the ground. This is an amazing Spring afternoon when it was mixed with rain and some pretty good sunshine peeking right under the clouds on the opposite end.

Was out at night having a leisure walk with my camera. Walking along this little waterway in the dark, suddenly I saw a crane only a few feet away from me. It was so dark that I couldn’t see it when I was further away. The crane was shocked that I was looking at it and it flew away. In the darkness, I could only guess that it flew in a certain direction. With a camera handy, I pointed it to the general direction and started shooting.

We are lucky enough in Vancouver that we are very close to nature. Apart from the occasional feeding squirrels and rabbits at Minoru Park, following a family of racoons or skunks in the West End, we also have American eagles around where we live. Continue reading

Was spending some time to enjoy the Autumn weather, and since I haven’t been to the Dyke for a while, it was a good opportunity to enjoy the nature and taking some sunset photos.

The trail is a popular walkway that goes around the North and West side of Richmond and ends at the South West side of Richmond. I remember when I had a bike, me and my brother would ride all the way from the North side of Richmond to the South side, and then back. It was a lot of fun. Continue reading

Another lens I often like to use is the Canon EF 70-200mm F4 L. Like most photographers, I started collect lenses with a limited budget and that is why I didn’t get the fancy F2.8 IS version of this lens. But nonetheless, this low budget version of the lens has been great for a lot of different outdoor photography. I find the contrast very vivid and the sharpness is excellent. I was out in Steveston again and got the opportunity to take these shots of Canadian geese. I bet they are migrating as the weather in Vancouver is cooling down.
