Here is my second mirror-less interchangeable lens camera – a Sony NEX-5N, just released not too long ago. My first mirror-less interchangeable lens camera is a Lumix GF2. So what is wrong with the GF2? I will talk about what I don’t like about it in another blog post, but first let’s take a look at the new Sony NEX-5N :)
Been using Canon Digital SLRs for a while now. As a Canon user, I have always been Nikon-envy for some reason. Maybe because I am just itchy to try more gadgets. But Canon Digital SLR cameras have been a very solid performer for us. So far, I have used 3 Canon Digital SLRs and the current model I use is the Rebel T1i/Kiss X3.
I usually try to avoid repeating news from other blog sites. But I am feeling particularly excited about yet another “mirrorless” interchangeable lens camera system being offered to us.
We recently bought a Panasonic Lumix LX3 to replace our really outdated Canon SD450 point and shot camera. Compared to the SD450, the LX3 is light-years ahead in every way you can think of. It is also costs a lot more than just a simple point and shot camera.
The most amazing thing about the LX3 is its lens. It has a 24mm equivalent Leica lens mounted. Though the zoom range is very minimal (2.5x) in today’s standard, it is well made up for by the F2.0 aperture. We went to Tokyo with it and we never looked back. It is an excellent camera and it is a very capable camera when you don’t want to carry your DSLR. We got this recommendation from Danny Choo. Thank you Danny!
