Autumn is my favourite season.  I like Spring, too but I always get really bad seasonal allergies (hay fever) from the Spring pollens.  In contrast, Autumn is always mild, dry, sunny and days are just long enough for me to get some nice shots.  The autumn sun is usually lower and can cast colourful light during sunset.

Pretty much the same view about half an hour later when the sun sets, casting shadows of trees on to the field.
