Photo Walk 13 – Downtown Vancouver in Autumn
Was going to work on the weekend and on the way to find parking, I saw these autumn leaves being blown off the maple trees. Couldn’t help to stop the car and take some photos.
If you look closely, you will see leaves in mid air and the leaves on the branches are a bit blurry. It was a windy day.
Compared to the building behind the trees, they look rather small. The building has a typical apartment design for Downtown Vancouver. It is covered by glass and have tinny windows for circulating fresh air. I am sure they are air conditioned but if you are facing South or West, you would be in for warm evenings in the summer months. But of course you will get more light in the Winter also.
Too bad the trees did not all change colour at the same time. I would love to see a whole row of red or brown leaves.
The Bentall 5 building. Currently it has BELL’s logo at the top. It is a great looking commercial building. At the ground level added an extension building after it’s completion and is the current location of the newest Cactus Club Cafe in Vancouver.
The sky was very clear from the strong wind. It was again a great autumn day.
This is where I work. It is very nice to see the fountain reflection on the ceiling of the entrance hallway. It was a great moment to realize that I could stop and look around, enjoy the weather and sunshine, even on a day that I need to work. Work-life balance is up to you to control.
