Soon after saying goodbye to my iMac, I replaced my personal computing device with this piece of hardware, not the other one :)

Here are some more deboxing photos.

Again, love how nice the presentation is.

MacBook Air and our Coffee Machine :)

The MBA is pretty minimalistic. If you have a lot of external peripherals, it may not be the machine for you.

But that is precisely why I like it.

This computer will do just enough for me, it will help me with my photo editing, video editing, blogging, maybe some fun programming.  So far photo editing has been pretty smooth.  I have yet to try video editing on it.  Next to load some programming tools on it :)

This is my first Apple notebook computer. I will surely enjoy the mobility that it brings me.

Needless to say, I cleared my desk to have only the MacBook Air on it. Will see how long that lasts ^^

This machine is fast! Super fast SSD inside. I lucked out to be getting one with the Samsung SSD which is a lot faster than Toshiba SSD.  If you are planning on getting a MBA, you should be aware of this.

I am glad that the Oakridge Mall Apple Store had it in stock for me. Otherwise the impulsive purchase would not have been successful. Okay it was planned… There was nothing impulsive about first selling an iMac and then replace it with an MBA :D

Congratulations on purchasing a MBA! I’m sure you’ll love it. Terrific laptops. My wife has been wanting one for quite some time, so it’s only a matter of time before she gets one as well. Personally, I’m still waiting for the MacBook Pros to converge into a more Air-like device. In any case, your new laptop is just in time for 10.7.2 and all new iCloud features!

Hey Wayne, yes I was going to wait for the MacBook Pros but I guess my patience ran dry. Can’t wait to try out 10.7.2 and iCloud soon :) What do you use for the time being while you’re waiting?
