A friend’s mom was visiting from Japan and brought us some Japanese sweets.  I think these are only sold in Japan as I have not seen them around here in Vancouver.  They are excellent with Japanese tea :)

It seems it was so long ago since our last trip to Japan. It is true that it happened in November 2011 but it was so much fun that I look forward to visiting again.  This was the last day when we were just doing some last minute shopping and then to get to Narita Airport via the Skyliner.

We stayed in an apartment while we were in Tokyo last year. It was a new experience for us as we used to stay in hotels during our other trips in Tokyo.  There are pros and cons to each choice and to some degree, if you are staying in a location for a longer period of time, an apartment sometimes works out better.

During our trip in Japan, we had the privilege to meet with Danny a couple of times and attend his Culture Japan Season 2 recording.  It was awesome being able to see how Culture Japan is made at Danny’s headquarters. Also it was great to meet new friends via Danny.

We caught the last day of Tori no Ichi at Juzaisan Chokoku-ji (Temple of Tori) in Asakusa. Many people came here to pray for good health, good fortune and good business.  Tori no Ichi is an annual event held in November.
