Photo Walk 14 – Minoru Park in Autumn
The weekend weather was just too nice for us to stay home. What’s a better place than going to a park where we could enjoy the Autumn weather?
Surprisingly the leaves are still very full on trees. And the colours are very spectacular.
The different shades of green and yellow on the trees make taking photos of them a great pleasure.
Do you like taking photos of trees? I found myself pointing my camera up a lot.
But when the light is right, I like the low hanging leaves too.
Was framing this photo and paying too much attention to the trees closest to me. After coming home, realized that the man doing Taichi was probably puking leaning on a tree :P
Sun was setting faster than I like. But that’s exactly what they say about sunset!
Not all leaves are yellow or brown, some are still very green. But I bet they are in the process of turning.
Isn’t it funny that similar trees don’t turn colours at the same time?
After using the polarizing filter for a while, I do run into some situations that only a very narrow portion of the photo is filtered. This is partially because of the wide angle the lens covers and the polarization might not work effectively at all situations depending on the make up of the polarized light.
I found this kind of light from sunset very attractive. I had no intention of capturing any body in this picture but she was busy doing something for a while and I had to get going, so I took the shot anyway.
Inside Minoru Park, there are more evidence of Autumn.
Normally there are folks playing lawn bowling, but it was getting slightly late for that. Do you have lawn bowling facilities in your area?
As the sun sets, the park feels a lot more quiet and peaceful.
Even the ducks are coming ashore to rest. They are getting used to humans because visitors often bring food to feed them.
When they swim, they look like a little boat floating on water. I am glad I caught all these moments before it gets too dark :)
