MG Exia and Astray Blue Frame Gundams
This year I am again getting some Gundams for Christmas for myself. As you probably know that I have a big appetite for almost anything master grade, it is only a matter of time before I break down and get more Gundams….
At first, I wasn’t sure if I like Gundam Exia enough to get the MG Gunpla. But since Bandai announced the MG GN-X, I am again interested in the master grade Gunplas of Gundam 00.
As for the Gundam Astray Blue Frame, I actually have not followed the manga of the side-story but the MG version of the Astray is definitely a must have. I have to admit that these gunplas might stay in the box for years but I think I will try to make some this holiday season.
Speaking of Gunplas, I usually visit these sites for release info:
- Hobby Search (English)
- Bandai Hobby (Japanese)
- SRW Hotnews (of course this site has more than Gunpla info)
- Tom Ho’s Gundam Blog
Some sites I visit the following to drool over models that other modellers create:
- NetModelers
- Mesarion
- G-Custom
- ebasenet
- S.L.’s blag
- A2 Craft
- Naowks
- BUN.Chan
- シンãŸã‚ーã®æ¨¡åž‹è£½ä½œè¨˜Ver.5.3
- N.G.T. Factory Japan
If you are a snap and play kind of modeller:
In case I will start building gunplas again and need a refresher:
You can also find video tutorials like (videos posted by S.L.):
MG Gundam RX-78 version Ka part 1
MG Gundam RX-78 version Ka part 2
MG RX-178 Gundam Mk II part 1
MG RX-178 Gundam Mk II part 2
There are a lot more videos posted by S.L.
Hopefully after watching all these video tutorials, everyone has enough education to start building gunplas with ease :)
Finally, wish you all a Merry Gunpla Christmas!!

Have you ever ordered from hobby search?
No, I have not… their discount is not as good as Amiami so I have never bothered to try ordering from them…
